What’s Really In Your Hands

Most people are told the Bible is the pure Word of the Most High. But the Bible you see today is not the same as the Scriptures Yehuwah breathed through His prophets. It is a mixture: truth preserved by Yehuwah, and deception inserted by men. This page will show you how it happened, why it matters, and how you can still find the truth.

Scriptures vs. The Bible

The Scriptures are Yehuwah’s true words, carried by His prophets and witnesses.
The Bible is a human product — a collection of those Scriptures, copied, translated, and altered over time. Rulers and scribes changed names, added idol titles, and even fabricated books to maintain control.

The result: a record that still carries Yehuwah’s truth, but is tainted with deception.

How the Scriptures Were Hijacked

• Scribes Serving Power – Even in Yeremeyehu’s (Jeremiah’s) time, he warned that scribes twisted Yehuwah’s words (Yeremeyehu 8:8). From the beginning, many scribes served kings, priests, and ruling powers.

• Rome’s Invasion – When Rome invaded the Promised Land and destroyed the temple, they also seized the texts. Rome compiled, edited, and authorized versions that aligned with their empire’s goals.

• Control of the Narrative – By altering Scriptures, rulers could rewrite the covenant into religion. Instead of direct access to Yehuwah, people were told they needed priests, translators, and experts as mediators.

Hidden Idols Inside the Bible

Over centuries, idol names were woven into translations. People today unknowingly speak these names while thinking they honor Yehuwah.

• God – from Gad, the Canaanite deity of fortune (Yeshahyehu 65:11).

• Lord – from Baʿal, meaning “master, lord.” By replacing Yehuwah with “Lord,” worship was redirected to Baʿal.

• Lord God – literally Baʿal Gad, “Lord or Master of Fortune.”

• El / Elohim – from El, the chief Canaanite deity. Sold as a generic title, but rooted in paganism.

• Israel – mixed name: Is (Isis, Egyptian deity), Ra (Egyptian sun deity), and El (Canaanite deity).

• Amen / Amein – from Amun or Amen-Ra, Egyptian sun deity. Spoken at the end of prayers as a seal.

• Jesus – from Greek Iēsous, tied to Zeus, chief deity of Rome/Greece.

• Adonai – from Adonis, a pagan fertility deity.

• Jehovah – a later invention, combining Yah (Canaanite, Egyptian, Greco-Roman pagan deity) with hovah (meaning ruin, destruction).

• Holy – from Holi/Holle, a fertility deity repackaged as set apart.

• Christ – from Greek Christos/Chrestos, a title used for sun deities and pagan saviors.

Why This Matters

By replacing Yehuwah’s true Name with idol names, worship was redirected away from Him. This is why nearly every religion today accepts titles like “God,” “Lord,” “Christ,” and “Amen.” They are the allowed names across religions — while the true Name of Yehuwah was erased, hidden in plain sight, and forbidden.

The Law of Free Will

Why would Yehuwah allow this? Because truth must be chosen freely. If deception did not exist, there would be no test. Every false name and false doctrine is allowed so that each person must decide: follow the crowd, or seek Yehuwah for themselves. Free will takes choice. Love takes choice.

The Experts’ Trap

“If all the experts agree, if archaeology and science confirm it, how can it be wrong?”
Agreement does not create truth. The ruling powers decide what is recorded as history, what is taught as religion, and what is displayed as evidence. Every artifact and so-called discovery is filtered through their control. A lie, no matter how many times it is regurgitated or how many voices repeat it, remains a lie.

The Hope of Yehuwah

Despite all attempts to corrupt, Yehuwah did not let His words vanish. His Name remains. His covenant endures. His Ruah still teaches. The Bible may be tainted, but the living words of Yehuwah are still there for those who seek Him.
